Long before this property became La Ventana, I would admire it on my drive from Wimberley to Austin. It was the prettiest ranch in the hill country. Now it is one of the prettiest subdivisions in the hill country. The first thing one notices are the expansive beautiful grounds that separate Elder Hill Rd and the homes in the subdivision.

Located just west of Driftwood and perched between RR 150 and RR 12 which connects Wimberley with Dripping Springs this is truly beautiful country. La Ventana is an upscale community, complete with a variety of amenities including gated entry, swimming pool, tennis courts, and riding stables.

It is a small to medium size subdivision with one to five+ acre lots. If you like what you see at La Ventana then I suggest taking a short drive to Wimberley to see River Mountain Ranch and Mustang Valley.

La Ventana subdivision prices remain steady in 2023 when compared to a year ago. Of significance is the decrease in volume from 15 sales in 2022 to 7 in 2023 and the increase in days on the market almost fivefold.

Prices in La Ventana subdivision continued to trend higher with both price and price per square foot showing increases over 2021. Volume was good with 15 homes sold during 2022.

What a banner year for La Ventana subdivision home prices in 2021. The average home price rose over 32% from the previous year, price per square foot up $76 and days on the market only 24 as compared to 123 in 2020.

Home prices in La Ventana subdivision remained steady in 2020 after showing a 15% increase in the previous year and an 8% price increase in 2018. There were 17 homes sold in 2020 in La Ventana as compared to only seven in 2019. These price increases come after seeing average home price increases of 8.28% in 2018.
