Wimberley Cafe: Great Breakfast and lunch. For overall variety and quality, this spot on the square is hard to beat. 512-847-3333 . Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Check their website for times.
The Leaning Pear - Wonderful food and setting. The soups are fantastic and the crab cake is the best around. Fancy sandwiches, soups, and salads along with a great selection of main course items. Great draft beer selection featuring hill country favorites. Outside dining is quiet and peaceful and inside is great on a hot summer day. From RR 12 turn on River Road (stop light) and look to your left.
Hays County Store- A few miles out of Wimberley on RR3237 but well worth the drive. Try the Truckstop enchiladas, burgers, and chicken fried steak...but then again everything is good. Full bar. Inside and outdoor dining. Live music on weekends. Great draft beer selection.
Durango's-My favorite Mexican food in Wimberley. Plain and simple...nothing fancy but good. Try the cheese enchiladas. Located on RR 2325 across from HEB.
Chill's On the Creek - Great deck overlooking Cypress Creek. On the square. Lunch and dinner. Great place to have a beer or cocktail. A large variety of menu items to choose from.
Shamrock Tacos - in the Shamrock station on RR 12 north of the tourist area and grocery store. Try the lunch tacos...al pastor w corn tortillas...the cabo..don't be afraid to experiment...they are all good...don't come here for ambiance..just great tacos.
Sugar Shack Bakery - Lots and lots and lots of great things to eat here. Wonderful bakery doing all of your favorites and some you have never tried...so many sweet treats. Located on River Road off RR12 ...just after the turn signal.
Mima's Kitchen- An old Wimberly tradition specializing in breakfast tacos and inexpensive Mexican dishes for lunch. Located on RR 2325 at Lions Field. Look for all the cars. 512-847-1305.
Longleaf Craft Kitchen and Bar- This is Wimberley's "high end" with wonderful appetizers and the best-mixed drinks in Wimberley. It is worth the visit to watch these outstanding mixologists create your favorite drink or turn you on to something new. Now serving lunch and dinner.
Community Pizza and Beer Garden- I have eaten every pizza and every salad that they serve. Outstanding. Huge draft beer and drink selection as well. Just off the square on Old Kyle Rd.
